Lavender Organizes Service agreement

Thank you for choosing Lavender Organizes to help you regain a calm and functional space. Before we begin to work on your project, It is vital to review the following terms. It will be helpful that both the client and organizer are clear on expectations.

The Organizer will provide professional organizing services that can include but are not limited to the following items:  Consulting, Sorting, Decluttering, Purging, Purchase of Storage Solutions, Labeling, Filing, Categorizing, Donation Removal, Electronic Organization, and Unpacking Services.    

  1. Payment

Payment is due before services begin. Payments can be made in the following ways; Cash-paid directly to the organizer on site. Checks- paid directly to the organizer on site. Credit or Debit Card- paid online via the website at  

Payment forms such as Venmo, Zelle & PayPal– are accepted.

  1. Process Ownership

Regarding the purging, sorting, and organizing of items, the Client maintains process ownership. The organizer recognizes items as the sole property of the Client, and though efforts will be made to help purge when needed, it is hereby stated that the final decision on such matters belongs to the Client.

  1. Photographs

For each room/space organized, Organizer will take both “before” and “after” photos.  These photos may be used in the Organizer’s publications, including but not limited to the website and pamphlets.  The client agrees that photos may also be used for Organizer’s publications/website, provided that the Client’s name and address are not linked to the photos in any way.

  1. Time Estimate

Lavender organizes would like to acknowledge a 30 min time frame for arrival to each appointment. Lavender Organizes sessions are 3 to 4 hours minimum, the sessions are from 10 am to 1 pm/2 pm or 3 pm to 6/7 pm. Lavender will arrive between 10 am to 10:30 am, if arrived at 10:30 am, the organizer will leave 30 minutes after the scheduled time appointment.  The 30 minutes time frame allows the owner of Lavender organizes to leave from longer than usual consultations and other unexpected day-to-day situations in such a demanded business.

  1. Project Outcomes  /  Supplies and Shopping Assistance

Project outcomes depend on the Client’s willingness to purge and donate when needed, and to properly organize and maintain items.  Long-term maintenance of organization hinges on Client commitment to maintaining the order, and quantity of items in the space.

It is also agreed that the purchase of any bins, baskets, or organizers of any kind, be they decorative or functional, is the responsibility of the Client. Should the Organizer make purchases of this kind, the expense will be reimbursed by the Client, and the hourly rate will be paid for the time the Organizer spends shopping. The agreed rate is $85per Organizer.  

  1. Confidentiality

The client recognizes that entering into this contract with Organizer means that Organizer may be in contact with personal items and information.  The organizer agrees not to divulge any of this information and to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and respect for the Client’s possessions and home. This includes name, address, and phone number. Staff members may share information with the Owner of Lavender Organizes only.

  1. Term and Termination

 This Agreement shall be effective on the date hereof and shall continue until the completion date unless terminated sooner. Lavender Organizes reserves the right to terminate this agreement for the following reasons; Clients or family members engaging in disruptive, threatening or violent behavior, which can include but is not limited to yelling, verbal abuse, threats, unsafe, and unsanitary working conditions. Last, but not least repetitive cancelations and continuous rescheduling. If the Client terminates this agreement for any reason before the scheduled completion date, the Client will reimburse the Organizer for all outstanding fees and out-of-pocket expenses. A package cannot exceed 12months unless discussed prior to the contract signing.

  1. Relationship of the Parties

The Parties acknowledge and agree that the Services performed by the Organizer, its employees, sub-contractors, or agents shall be as an independent contractor and that nothing in this Agreement shall be deemed to constitute a partnership, joint venture, or otherwise between the parties.

  1. Assistant and Subs

The Parties acknowledge and agree that the Services performed by the Organizer, or her assistants, are valid as organizer hours. If the owner brings an assistant with her and it is approved, the client will pay 2x the hourly rate agreed upon in the contract.

  1. Cancellation Policy

Both parties acknowledge and agree that services purchased by the Client are non-refundable.  If in the event a cancellation is needed, arrangements will be made by both parties to reschedule the session(s) at a later date. Rescheduled sessions must not exceed 12 months from the project start date.  

Due to the high demand in our business, even though client pays in full prior to sessions starting, last-minute cancellations often result in a loss of income and time for the organizer. Please note, that the benefits to clients paying in full prior to the session starting,  is it guarantees secure and saved booked appointments in advance of the client’s choice on the organizer’s schedule and the client gets the discounted bundle rates for big jobs consisting of 12 to 100+ hours.

Due to the high demand in our business, as I stated earlier, we get calls daily from families and professionals needing help getting their home organized and as long as our client has booked appointments on our planner, we do not accept new appointments on booked dates with our client’s. Therefore, when the client cancels last minute or on the day of the booked session, it results in a loss of income for the organizer. Due to this irreplaceable loss, Lavender Organizes requires a minimum of 48 hours’ notice of cancellation. Any appointments canceled fewer than 48 hours or on the day of the appointment will incur a cancellation fee of $50.  Lavender Organizes understand that emergencies happen and allow each client two grace passes per calendar year to reschedule without penalty. 

  1. Items for Disposal

 As an additional service by Lavender Organizes, at the client’s request, transports items for disposal to the appropriate locations.  Whether by donation, recycling, shredding or trash should Lavender Organizes take items, they may dispose of some items at their sole discretion. Clients may also select to dispose of items personally as well.

I have read, understood, and fully agree to the above terms and understand that the services are being performed in accordance with the above items.

By scheduling organizing services, I am agreeing to these terms.
